"Why should I be baptized?"
This is an important question and vital step for new believers.
Acts 2:41 Tells us, "Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls."
Baptism is an outward expression of the inward work that God has done in your life. It is a vital step of obedience in letting the world know that you are now a follower of Jesus Christ. Baptism doesn't save us, Jesus does. If you received Jesus to be your Savior, then you are bound for heaven whether or not you have been baptized. Only the blood of Jesus Christ has the power to cleanse from sin (Ephesians 1:7).
In essence, baptism is a public testimony to those who see our baptism, that we are unashamedly followers of Jesus Christ and that we identify with His death, burial, and resurrection.
