Walking the Christian journey alone can be intimidating, which is why we want to journey with you. Anchor Baptist Church is a family and together we strive to grow closer in our relationship with God. The church is a place of healing, encouragement, and learning, and Christ commanded His people, the church, to spread His message of love and hope to our communities to those around us. To fulfill this mission, it’s vital to develop a healthy, vibrant relationship with Jesus and others. Here are some ways we grow in our faith and walk with Christ:
Foster Your Spiritual Walk Daily
Developing your daily walk with Christ is exciting but can also be overwhelming. God wants to walk with us daily so that we can grow to know Him and it begins with a time of reading the Bible daily. Our Anchored In Christ Spiritual Development series will introduce you to keys (or truths) that are essential to your spiritual journey. If you desire to know how to get established in fostering your relationship with God, or would like a daily Bible reading plan sign up today!
Talk to God Regularly
Prayer is simply talking with God. Jesus often talked with God because all great relationships have great communication. As you journey in your spiritual walk with God, praying is as important as breathing. Praying can seem difficult, but it doesn't have to be. The more you talk to God, the easier it will be. We would also love for you to join us each week on Wednesdays at 7 p.m. for prayer and bible study.
Attend Church Weekly
Being around other believers to worship and fellowship is vital in our Christian walk. It's important that you develop the weekly habit of church attendance. Hebrews 10:25 tells us that we are not to forsake, "...the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching."
It would be an honor if you joined us weekly at Anchor Baptist for our Sunday Worship services at 10:45 a.m. and Wednesdays prayer and Bible studies at 7 p.m. Often one visit is not enough to really get to know our heart and vision. We recommend coming at least FOUR WEEKS to allow you to truly get the heartbeat of Anchor Baptist Church.
Join Launch Point Class

Our Launching Point class, led by Pastor David, is a four-week session before the morning service that introduces you to our vision, purpose, and ministry. It’s a chance for you to ask questions and discover ministry opportunities.
